Please note: This role is seasonal, operating from April through October, with hours and schedules varying by event.

Compensation: $100 flat rate plus tips for day of show shifts; $15 per hour on non-show days.

Join our team as a Hawker and play a key role in ensuring our guests have a fantastic time at events! As a Hawker, you’ll be responsible for selling alcoholic beverages and Dasani water to customers in designated areas, all while providing excellent customer service and adhering to all relevant regulations. This position requires someone who is energetic, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Sales & Customer Service: Approach customers in a friendly and engaging manner to promote alcoholic beverages and Dasani water. Be proactive in making sales by staying active and approachable throughout the event.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our beverage offerings, including alcoholic drinks and water. Offer tailored product recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all legal and venue-specific regulations regarding alcohol sales. Verify customer IDs to ensure legal drinking age and promote responsible drinking. Report any concerning behaviors to supervisors immediately.
• Inventory Management: Keep an eye on inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize waste. Assist with restocking supplies when necessary and record any product transfers.
• Setup & Breakdown: Set up your hawking station before the event and break it down afterward, ensuring all supplies are organized and equipment is cleaned and secured.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Previous sales experience, especially in the food and beverage industry, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a knack for customer engagement.
• Familiarity with local and state alcohol regulations.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, especially during large events.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., including heavy trays.
• Comfortable standing and walking for long periods in various environments (concrete, grass, etc.).
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, wind, precipitation) and in high-energy event settings (flashing lights, loud music, etc.).
• Must have a working cell phone and be open to using it for work-related tasks.
• Experience with the Shift4 Sky Tab point of sale system is a plus.
