ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervision of custodial staff. This duty is performed daily.
2. Perform inspection of School grounds and recommend procedures to correct any deficiencies. This duty is performed monthly.
3. Answer emergency calls after school hours and on weekends and implement action necessary to correct any problem. This duty is performed daily.
4. Coordinate with principals to provide initial training for custodial personnel. This duty is performed monthly.
5. Review and recommend custodial equipment for schools. This duty is performed daily.
6. Serve as liaison between local schools and district repair shop for custodial equipment. This duty is performed daily.
7. Coordinate in-service training for the custodial staff. This duty is performed annually.
8. Ensures that the quality of custodial services meets established guidelines by inspecting the work of custodial personnel and directing corrective measures to be taken when necessary to meet those guidelines.
9. Manage the Frontline Time Management System by entering and organizing computer information to ensure accuracy of records.
10. Assist in managing Smart Inspect to ensure accuracy and accountability.
11. Ensure proper use, storage, and inventory of custodial supplies and equipment
12. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of custodial personnel
13. Occasionally manage weekend and after-hours events.
14. Train custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures
15. Coordinate with principals concerning building level requests to the Maintenance Department for scheduling. This duty is performed daily.
16. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 3 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats. REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Not indicated.
