Job Description & Requirements

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for the Labor and Delivery unit in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The position is a 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, with 12‑hour night shifts.

• Provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of a baby
• Assist physicians during epidurals, pain medication administration, episiotomies, and preparations for cesarean deliveries
• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor
• Monitor contractions and assist patients with breathing techniques
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression and dilation
• Keep patient beds clean and manage bodily fluids before and after delivery
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments
• Provide immediate care of newborns
• Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods; lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Cope with a fast‑paced environment and maintain composure under stress

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 3 years of recent acute care experience
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NRP (minimum 2 years)
• Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift 20 pounds easily, occasionally 50 pounds
