Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for coordinating and ensuring total nursing care of assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation. The RN delegates to and supervises student nurses, nursing assistants, and licensed practical nurses. The RN assists with orientation of new staff and supervision of nursing students and helps achieve patient quality of care and regulatory and budgetary goals.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive and accurate patient assessment using evidence‑based tools.
- Provide nursing care according to the plan and undertake clinical practice skills competently and safely.
- Identify changes in patient condition and report to appropriate providers.
- Monitor care received by patients.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Float among various clinical services where qualified and competent.
- Evaluate patient progress toward expected clinical outcomes, treatments, and health education in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. - Licensure &
Certifications:
Arkansas RN license and CPR required. - Experience:
Previously employed RN with residency or equivalent experience.
The role involves 80% walking or standing and moving up to 50 lbs; 20% sitting in a standard office environment. The RN may be exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and radiation, and serves a diverse patient population.
