** Position Summary
** The role of the Registered Nurse reports to Director of Nursing. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care for patients receiving infusion services.
** Essential Position Responsibilities
*** Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
* Prepare patient for various types procedures and/or examinations, as needed
* Review clinic orders and ensure all necessary information is obtained
* Continuously monitor patients for adverse reactions
* Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
* Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
** Qualifications**
* ** Education**:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
* ** Licensure and Certifications**:  Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required. ACLS requiring within 3 months. Annual dysrhythmia, required.
* ** Experience**:
Previous experience in nursing in a clinic or acute setting ,preferred. Previous experience in an infusion setting, preferred.
** Work Environment:
** This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
