Washington Regional Urgent Care, part of the Urgent Team network, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver compassionate, efficient care in a fast-paced urgent care clinic. In this hands-on role, you'll triage walk-in patients, obtain histories and vital signs, administer medications and injections, and assist providers with exams, procedures, and diagnostics. You'll perform CLIA-waived lab tests, EKGs, and specimen collection, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and strict infection control.
As part of a patient-first, community-focused team, you'll collaborate across disciplines to manage patient flow, educate patients on treatment and follow-up care, and ensure every visit is respectful, timely, and clinically excellent. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an urgent care setting, including triage, vital signs, and basic treatments
- Administer medications and injections per provider orders and document accurately in the EMRAssist providers with exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Perform CLIA-waived lab tests, EKGs, and specimen collection following protocols
- Educate patients on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards between patients
- Support front-desk workflow as needed, including rooming and patient flow coordination
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to ensure efficient, patient-first care
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report promptly to the provider
- Follow organizational policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
