Lake Conway Renovation Project

Ozark Conservation Corps (OCC) and its parent company Community Training Works, Inc. (CTW). We are an environmental conservation corps that empowers individuals from all backgrounds and abilities to contribute purposefully to their community through education and hands-on experience. Our vision is a world where individuals utilize intelligence and positive energy to improve their lives, community, and environment. CTW has been operating programs throughout the southeast region, primarily in Florida since 2006, and recently expanded to Northwest Arkansas in 2023.

I am originally from Norfork and happy to be home in the Ozarks! We provide paid on-the-job training to young adults and veterans aged 16 to 35 which are recruited from within the communities they serve. Participants have the opportunity to earn education awards to be used towards college, trade school, or to pay off student loans, as well as access to unique benefits through our Youth Development Program such as no interest loans, help with earning GEDs, help to obtain driver's license, budgeting/IRA mentoring and more.

Program participants earn nationally recognized certifications (based on the project requirements) in various fields such as chainsaw sawyer certification, wildland fire certification, defensive driving (operating gov't vehicles/OHV), and Wilderness First AID & CPR to name a few. Our business exists to help land, water, and road managing agencies who struggle to complete backlog maintenance and restoration work. CTW, Inc. & OCC are committed to making a positive impact on communities and natural environments.

We aim to foster community engagement, empower youth, and contribute to the enhancement of public spaces and natural landscapes. Partners have included National Park Service, US Foerst Service, US Fish and Wildlife, Department of Transportation, and cities and counties. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
