Post Doctoral Fellow

The Post Doctoral Fellow at I³R will work as a member of the research team and will participate in data collection activities, develop tools for efficient and reliable data collection, and prepare reports and publications of research results in R&D areas within the food tech and/or health tech sectors. They will focus on the translation of basic research to design and development of products, technologies and subsequent deployment.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A PhD or comparable advanced degree and expertise in engineering, data science, statistics, food science, nutrition, neuroscience, food or health policy, health education, or related fields
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in working towards product development in the food or health sectors.
  • Prior experience in data collection and processing of complex data sets
  • Ability to program in Python, R, or Matlab
  • Ability to plan and anticipate actions according to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience troubleshooting in demanding environments
  • Ability to document activities and develop product documentation as needed
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team while being able to work independently
  • Share a desire to improve access to high-quality food, health and economic opportunity

Salary Information:
Commensurate with education and experience
