- Develop and coach employees to provide amazing client experiences.

- Manage with integrity and honesty and promote the culture, values, and mission of Buff City Soap.
- Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
- Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising compliance with the Buff City Soap brand standards.
- Directly responsible for the production, cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the makery.
- Manage makery staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain makery operational requirements.
- Adhere to applicable wage and hour laws for non‑exempt team members and minors.
- Use all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the makery. Tools include labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory management.
- Utilize financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in makery performance.
- Conduct performance assessments regularly, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance.
- Manage ongoing sales.
- Have reliable ability and transportation to go to the bank as needed.
- Work required time frames:
- Salaried Store Managers must work at least 40 hours per week over at least 5 days per week. Any additional hours worked are unpaid.
- Hourly Store Managers must work at least 32 hours per week over at least 4 days per week. Overtime will only be paid if the manager works over 40 hours in a work week, and all overtime hours must be approved by the District or Regional Manager in advance.
- Work a varying number of mid and/or closing shifts each week as determined by supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs.
- College education preferred, but not required.
- Management and/or Sales experience required.
- Basic computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Strong problem‑solving and organizational/planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Team‑building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist and stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Ability to perform makery cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
