Position: Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Springfield, MO

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction.
  • Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
  • Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and reimbursement knowledge.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
  • Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate with target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Complete monitoring/reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers/customer facilities/government.
Education & Experience Requirements :
  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may consider “Associate” otherwise).
  • Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory (or within 24 months) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with proven above-average results; “hunter” mentality.
  • Strong territory relationships/knowledge.
  • Travel required (may include overnights); occasional meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Navigate complex markets; strong work ethic and organization; prioritize independently.
  • Adjust quickly to roadblocks; customer-focused, self-motivated, computer proficient.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle; may require lifting/moving up to 15 lbs.
