Job Summary: The Juvenile Detention Officer is responsible for the daily operation of the detention center. Juvenile Detention Officers provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for up to 36 juveniles ages 10-18. They will work a scheduled shift and be on-call as needed to accommodate officer(s) sick calls and facility emergencies.
Job Description: The role involves managing the daily activities and safety protocols within the juvenile detention facility, supervising detainees, handling emergencies, and maintaining a secure environment.
Required Qualifications:- Pass a criminal background check and obtain, if required, federal security clearances.
- Pass pre-employment and reasonable suspicion testing.
- Passing a drug screening and a physical examination.
- Must be physically capable of performing duties essential to the position.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, including day and night, and to be on call as needed.
