Position Summary The role of the Security Officer reports to the Safety and Security Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Position Responsibilities Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients

Promptly respond to codes, alarms, and incidents and complete thorough investigation, including leadership when necessary

Assist various outside entities such as funeral homes, and all emergency services organizations

De-escalate situations that arise and maintain and calm and orderly environment

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED, required.

Licensure and

Certifications:

Driver’s license and auto liability insurance, required.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in a security officer role, preferred.

Work Environment:
This position will spend approximately 80% of the time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs and 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population. This position will be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids.
