Pay: $32.84-$37.34 per hour, plus $11.55 fringe benefit

Employment is contingent on passing a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen, random drug and alcohol screenings, and background/reference checks.
Lead HVAC maintenance personnel and perform or coordinate operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, chilled water, hot water, air handling, ventilation, and building automation-related systems.
Compensation note: Shown as Lead Craftsman I-III range pending final classification.
Key Responsibilities- Lead assigned HVAC work, coordinate daily tasks, review priorities, and support timely completion of service calls and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, fans, valves, coils, dampers, motors, controls, and related components.
- Support BAS/EMCS coordination, alarm response, setpoint verification, trending, and system performance troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret drawings, sequences of operation, work orders, manuals, and safety procedures.
- Mentor craft personnel and coordinate with operations, utilities, controls, safety, and quality control teams.
- Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
- Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
- Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
- Journey-level HVAC experience and prior lead experience are required or strongly preferred.
- EPA Section 608 certification or other applicable HVAC credentials may be required based on final contract requirements.
- Experience with laboratory, federal, FDA, industrial, or mission-critical HVAC systems is preferred.
- Experience with BAS/EMCS troubleshooting, chilled water, hot water, air handling equipment, and ventilation systems is preferred.
- Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
- Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade operations and maintenance team.
This position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting, carrying tools or materials, working in mechanical spaces, and performing duties indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
