Role summary:

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to execute service plans, leads field teams, and supports operational needs across multiple locations.

Adherence to company policies, safety standards, and effective communication with customers and partners are essential to this position.

The team manages exterior maintenance operations across multiple locations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards. They coordinate assignments, optimize resources, and implement improvements aligned with business goals. Providing technical expertise and training, the team maintains equipment quality and operational efficiency. Collaborating with stakeholders, they drive continuous enhancements and adapt to evolving challenges. What you'll do:

* Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.

* Interpret layout plans and schematics to ensure accurate system setup and regulatory compliance.

* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.

* Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.

* Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.

* Conduct inspections and repairs following federal, state, and local HVAC/R safety protocols.

* Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.

* Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and document refrigerant usage accurately.

* Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

What you'll bring:

* Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.

* Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.

* Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

* Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.

* Skilled in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly.

* Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with customers and team members.

* Ability to lead field teams and mentor less-experienced technicians.

* Experience managing service calls, inventory tracking, and coordinating with external vendors.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00
