You Know How to Fix Cars. Now Work Somewhere Built Around Mechanics.

Tired of the Traditional Dealership Environment?

As a Pre-Owned Vehicle Mechanic, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles before they are offered for sale. This is a hands‑on position for an experienced mechanic who enjoys variety, solving problems, and fixing vehicles correctly.

You will work on domestic and import vehicles across a wide range of makes and models, performing everything from routine maintenance to complex mechanical and diagnostic repairs.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect incoming pre-owned vehicles for mechanical, electrical, safety, and maintenance concerns.
  • Diagnose vehicle problems using scan tools, diagnostic equipment, service information, and hands‑on troubleshooting.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on a variety of makes and models.
  • Repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, exhaust, HVAC, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil and fluid services, filters, belts, batteries, and other preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair check‑engine lights and other warning indicators.
  • Determine what each vehicle needs to be safe, reliable, and retail‑ready.
  • Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
  • Work with the reconditioning team, parts department, and management to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Accurately document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, and parts used.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly use and maintain tools, lifts, diagnostic equipment, and other shop equipment.
Why This Job Is Different

This is for the mechanic who likes fixing cars but wants a different kind of shop environment.

You’ll work on different makes and models, diagnose real problems, and use your experience every day.

No manufacturer warranty work as the primary focus. No sitting around doing the same repair over and over.

Just good mechanics doing what they do best: finding problems and fixing vehicles.

And you’ll do it in a fully climate‑controlled, state‑of‑the‑art Used Vehicle Repair Facility.

  • Our employees also have access to an employee‑only fitness center, basketball court, and pickleball courts.
Qualifications Required
  • Hands‑on experience diagnosing and repairing automobiles.
  • Experience working on multiple makes and models strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose problems using both diagnostic equipment and practical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform quality repairs with limited supervision.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Pride in workmanship and commitment to doing the job right.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a pre-owned vehicle reconditioning environment.
  • Ability to safely operate and test drive vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred
  • ASE certifications — preferred, but NOT required.
  • Formal automotive training — preferred, but NOT required.
  • Experience with diagnostic scan tools and computerized vehicle systems.
  • Experience with pre‑owned vehicle inspection or automotive reconditioning.
  • Experience working on both domestic and import vehicles.
  • Manufacturer certifications.
  • Hybrid/EV diagnostic and repair experience.
The Bottom Line

You don't have to be ASE certified.

You don't have to have manufacturer certifications.

You do need to know how to fix cars.

We recognize that some of the best mechanics learned their trade through years of hands‑on experience—not a classroom.

Bring your experience. We'll provide the workplace.
