Securitas Technology seeks an Alarm Technician to install, program, and service electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and enterprise clients. You'll work with intrusion, fire, access control, and video solutions, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs while ensuring code compliance and customer safety. Collaborate with engineers and project teams, maintain accurate documentation, and support on-call needs. Responsibilities
- Install, program, and configure intrusion, fire, and access control alarm systems at client sites
- Perform testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of alarm and life safety systems to ensure proper operation and code compliance
- Diagnose and repair system faults, wiring issues, and device failures using test equipment and technical documentation
- Complete accurate documentation, service reports, and as-built updates in company systems
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and customers to plan work, minimize downtime, and meet project deadlines
- Educate customers on system operation, basic maintenance, and response procedures
- Adhere to safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies on every job
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests as needed
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicle in safe, serviceable condition
- Stay current on new security technologies and manufacturer product updates through training
