Carpenter I
The Carpenter I is responsible for installation and/or replacement of floors, cabinets, shelving, walls, ceilings, windows, doors, etc.; installation and/or maintenance of all types of roofing. Duties may include leading small projects and operating independently without supervision. This position will be on-call for after-hours emergencies and during inclement weather. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:- The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
- At least four (4) years of experience in the Carpentry Skilled Trade
- A valid Driver's License
- At least five (5) or more years experience as a Skilled Carpenter
- OSHA Certification
- Knowledge of the methods, practices, and safety precautions in one or more of the skilled trades
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to one or more of the skilled trades
- Skill in the use and care of tools and machinery used in one or more of the skilled trades
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, building plans, and/or work drawings
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
- Knowledge and use of a CMMS/Work Order Management system and associated mobile platforms, if applicable
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products such as email, spreadsheets
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff or apprentices
