Summary of

Job Duties:

The Carpenter I is responsible for installation and/or replacement of floors, cabinets, shelving, walls, ceilings, windows, doors, etc.; installation and/or maintenance of all types of roofing. Duties may include leading small projects and operating independently without supervision. This position will be on-call for after-hours emergencies and during inclement weather.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least four (4) years of experience in the Carpentry Skilled Trade
  • A valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least five (5) or more years experience as a Skilled Carpenter
  • OSHA Certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices, and safety precautions in one or more of the skilled trades
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to one or more of the skilled trades
  • Skill in the use and care of tools and machinery used in one or more of the skilled trades
