Position Summary:
The Handyman Service Technician Handyman Assistantsupportsthe Lead Technicianor Handyman Technicianincompletingresidentialrepair ,maintenance,andimprovementprojects.
Thispositionassistswithpreparingjobsites,handlingtoolsandmaterials,andhelpingensureprojectsarecompletedsafely,efficiently,andaccordingtocompanystandards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisttechnicianswithgeneralhomerepairsandmaintenanceincludingcarpentry,drywallrepair,painting,andminorinstallations.
Prepareandcleanjobsitesbefore,during,andafterworkiscompleted.
Load,unload,andorganizetools,equipment,andmaterialsneededforeachjob.
Helpwithinstallingfixturessuchasshelves,cabinets,doors,lightfixtures,and hardware.
Supportbasictasksrelatedtoplumbing,electrical,andgeneralhomerepairsundersupervision.
Maintaintoolsandequipmenttoensuretheyremaincleanandingoodworkingcondition.
Followsafetyproceduresandcompanyguidelineswhileworkingonjobsites.
Communicateeffectivelywiththeleadtechniciantocompleteassignedtasks.
Providecourteousandprofessionalinteractionswithcustomerswhenonsite.
Qualifications:
Basicknowledgeofhandtoolsandpowertools, must come with your own tools.
Interestinlearninghomerepairandmaintenanceskills.
Abilitytofollowinstructionsandworkaspartofateam.
Strongworkethicandwillingnesstolearnnewskills.
Abilitytoliftupto 50lbsandperformphysicallabor.
Valid driver’slicensepreferredbutnotalwaysrequired.
Preferred
Skills:
Previousexperienceinconstruction,maintenance,orgenerallabor.
Familiaritywithbasichomerepairtasks, from as large as bathroom, and kitchen renovations, to painting, Drywall repairs, windows, changing locks, Fence installs & repairs.
Abilitytoworkinafast-pacedenvironmentandassistwithmultipleprojects.
Work Environment:
Workisprimarilyperformedinresidentialhomes.
Mayrequireliftingmaterials,climbing ladders,andworkinginvaryingweatherconditions.
