Arkansas Support Network (ASN) is a licensed disability services provider serving individuals across Arkansas, with offices in Springdale, Fort Smith, Camden, and Jonesboro.

We partner with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, schools, foundations, businesses, and families to provide effective, least-restrictive supports that help individuals with disabilities live meaningful lives in environments they and their families choose.

We are seeking compassionate and reliable DSPs to provide hands‑on support to an adult consumer in their home and community. This role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life through person‑centered care.

DSPs empower individuals to live in a home of their choice, access community resources, attend school or work, and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.

People can best support this Individual by treating him with respect, patience, and kindness, especially as he navigates social anxiety. He benefits from gentle encouragement when engaging in the community and from verbal reassurance during moments of increased anxiety. Providing structure, assisting with medication management, and supporting healthy routines are also important. He responds well when others listen to him, involve him in decisions about his care, and help him build confidence while maintaining his sense of independence.

This Individual finds joy in spending quiet time in his room, taking naps, and reading. He enjoys being involved in grocery shopping and choosing his own meals. Although he is not working right now, he contributes by working on managing his emotions, keeping up with his apartment with reminders, and focusing on his health. He would like a daily routine that feels steady and predictable, including regular doctor visits, staying on track with his medications, and slowly becoming more comfortable in the community.

He wants to build confidence, improve his coping skills, and learn to manage his money better so he can reach personal goals.

• High school diploma or GED (or 1 year relevant experience)
• 18 years or older
• Required to pass background checks and required clearances
• Flexibility to work weekend schedules
  
  Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
