* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
* Advanced knowledge of ETL/ELT design and development in modern data platforms as evidenced by application materials
* Strong code analysis, debugging, and performance optimization skills as evidenced by application materials
* Experience ingesting, transforming, and managing large and complex datasets
* Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify, and mitigate data quality and pipeline reliability issues as evidenced by application materials
* Working knowledge of change data capture (CDC) concepts and implementation as evidenced by application materials
* Solid understanding of design principles, including normalization and dimensional design as evidenced by application materials
* Proven track record of success in data engineering or related technical data roles
* Experience serving in a technical lead or senior engineering role
* Cloud-based data development experience, preferably using Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric
* Experience ingesting and transforming Workday-sourced data
* Familiarity with distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark)
* Basic understanding of data governance concepts, including data stewardship, metadata management, and access controls
