Construction Laborer

This role supports a commercial construction crew by providing safe and efficient spotting, site cleanup, and site logistics. You will oversee workers operating lifts and other machinery, guide the loading and movement of materials, and help ensure that all on-site activities follow established safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and spot workers operating lifts and other construction machinery to ensure safe operation at all times.
  • Guide drivers and equipment operators when loading, unloading, and moving materials around the construction site.
  • Monitor on-site activities to help ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
  • Assist with site logistics, including coordinating material movement and access routes for vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform site cleanup tasks to maintain an organized, debris-free, and safe work area.
  • Support driver management by directing vehicle traffic and ensuring safe entry, exit, and positioning of trucks and other vehicles.
  • Assist with general mechanical and construction-related tasks as needed to support the crew.
  • Communicate clearly with crew members, operators, and drivers to coordinate work and prevent hazards.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to the appropriate on-site leadership.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with spotting on construction sites, including guiding lifts and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with site cleanup on commercial construction projects.
  • Familiarity with construction environments and basic mechanical or machine operation tasks.
  • Strong awareness of safety practices and willingness to enforce and follow safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in an outdoor commercial construction setting.

  • Previous experience on commercial construction sites.
  • Experience supporting site logistics, including material handling and coordination.
  • Comfort working around mechanical equipment and construction machinery.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers, operators, and crew members.
  • Reliability and consistency in showing up on time and completing assigned tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
