Overview
Outpatient Diagnostic Center
ResponsibilitiesOperate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology. Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
QualificationsGraduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT.

Required:
None.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT(S). Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
Additional QualificationsBLS certified.
