Post‑Production Data Center Technician (L4)

6‑Month Contract | Hyperscale Datacenter | GPU & AI Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities Data Center Operations
  • Apply expert knowledge of procedures for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and decommissioning datacenter hardware
  • Understand how server and network components function and interact
  • Complete assigned tickets efficiently and meet task KPIs and SLAs
  • Follow all operational standards, processes, and documentation
Service Delivery
  • Prepare, stage, and install equipment (racks, drives, switches, cabling) using provided guides and checklists
  • Verify grounding, labeling, staging, and cabling meet quality and safety standards
  • Conduct post‑execution quality checks
  • Perform advanced diagnostics to quickly identify root‑cause issues
  • Decommission hardware for complex systems or full‑rack changes
  • Ensure all decommissions meet security compliance requirements
  • Report and elevate incidents through the correct operational channels
Work Environment & Safety
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and required safety training
  • Follow all datacenter safety standards (equipment, lifting, electrical, ladders, etc.)
  • Comply with security and data‑handling protocols
  • May oversee a small team of 5–10 supplier resources if needed
Top Skills Needed
  • 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or similar technologies
  • Previous datacenter environment experience
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and Break/Fix skills
  • Experience with GPU or high‑density compute environments is a plus
Additional Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware components
  • Flexibility to work non‑standard hours, including weekends/holidays
  • Willingness to commute to the Fayetteville, GA datacenter location
Shift Details
  • 12‑hour shifts | 7 AM–7 PM
  • Rotating A/B schedule:
    • A‑Side:
      Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday
    • B‑Side:
      Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday
  • L5/SME candidates may start 15–30 minutes early for priority updates
Evaluation & Interview Process
  • Initial recruiter qualification (recorded questions)
  • Online technical assessment (90%+ required to advance)
  • 30‑minute technical interview with delivery/practice team
Reason for Hiring

This project is time‑sensitive and mission‑critical. Additional staffing is required to meet operational deadlines and avoid significant business impact due to the scale of GPU/AI deployments.

This is a Contract position based out of Fayetteville, GA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
