Job Summary

The Director of Maintenance at Fun Spot America Theme Parks is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure that rides, facilities, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with safety regulations. This role will supervise the maintenance team, ensure proper training, and implement preventive maintenance programs to maintain the highest safety standards. The Director of Maintenance will work closely with park management to ensure guest safety and satisfaction, and will oversee the completion of major maintenance projects.

This is a full‑time, salaried (exempt) position. While the standard workweek is based on a 45‑hour average, actual hours may vary depending on business needs. Exempt team members are expected to fulfill the responsibilities of their role regardless of the time required and are not eligible for overtime compensation.

Pay Range:$80,000.00 - $ Annually

Exemption: Salaried Non‑Exempt

Availability & Scheduling

This is a key leadership position within the organization, and as such, it is required to report to work a minimum of 45 hours per week. Availability during weekends and holidays is required.

While we recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy work‑life balance and will strive to support this for all team members, there may be times when this position must remain reachable outside of regular scheduled hours. Particularly in the event of emergencies, the individual in this role may be required to respond and report to work as needed to assist the team.

Flexibility and availability are crucial to ensuring the safety and seamless operation of the park during these critical situations.

Key Objectives
  • Ensure the safety and operational efficiency of all rides and attractions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provide leadership and development to the maintenance team.
  • Lead the maintenance team, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for major repairs or projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Oversee daily maintenance activities for the park, ensuring timely repairs and routine checks.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance logs and records for equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including federal, state, and local laws.
  • Collaborate with park management to schedule maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Direct the dismantling and relocation of rides and attractions as needed, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Investigate and report incidents related to maintenance activities, implementing corrective measures to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Ensure the maintenance team follows Fun Spot America Theme Park’s drug‑free workplace policy, including pre‑employment drug testing and adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
Requirements Qualifications
  • Compliance with Fun Spot America Theme Park’s drug‑free workplace policy, including consent to pre‑employment drug testing and adherence to federal, state, and local laws regarding drug and alcohol use.
  • Successfully undergo a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle check when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in maintenance management, preferably in a theme park or large attraction setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as safety regulations.
  • Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
