Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Critical Care Float RN with a GA or compact license to provide ICU/IMCU coverage at a hospital setting with varied critical diagnoses.
Responsibilities
• Work in a hospital critical care float pool covering ICU and IMCU units
• Diagnoses include pneumonia, sepsis, renal, pancreatitis, general surgeries, orthopedic, COPD, COVID-19, GI, and sickle cell crisis
• Day shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00 to 19:00
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice
• Must be willing to work major holidays as scheduled based on assignment period
• Return travelers must have a one-year gap from all Piedmont facilities prior to returning as a traveler
• If a traveler is ineligible to return to one facility, a successful assignment at another location outside the system is required before being rebooked
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Requests for time off cannot be made during the first week and are limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit
Requirements
• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience required
• First time travelers are considered
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above) required for consideration
• Full compliance with all hiring requirements is mandatory
