Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Critical Care Float RN with at least one year of ICU or IMCU experience and an active GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital critical care setting, floating between ICU and IMCU units
- Treat adult patients with conditions such as pneumonia, sepsis, renal failure, pancreatitis, orthopedic issues, COPD, COVID-19, GI complications, and sickle cell crisis
- Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Floating may occur within the facility and within the nurse's scope of practice
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Candidates are expected to care for a diverse adult critical care patient population
- Must be available to work assigned major holidays as per scheduling policy
- No schedule or shift requests allowed; shift as listed is firm
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO), with no RTO approved during the first week or on major holidays unless eligible and approved
- Must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to be eligible to return as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit
- Orientation schedule is bi-weekly and full compliance is required to start on time
- Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of ICU or IMCU experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Relevant professional certifications as listed in the job details required
- First time travelers are accepted
- Must provide at least two supervisory references from a manager or above (charge not accepted)
- Must have all required documents and be fully compliant prior to start
