OverviewIMS/Inpatient Advanced Practitioner
Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a full‑time Inpatient PA/NP to work with multiple physicians at our Piedmont Fayette Hospital, located 30 minutes south of Atlanta. This position will have no call responsibilities and 10‑hour variable shifts.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will:
- Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patients medical record.
- Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
- Write progress notes; prepare patient work‑ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
- Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of IMS/Inpatient experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification or Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification.
Education and/or Experience
Masters degree or a bachelors degree; graduate of certified Physician's Assistant program.
Certificates and Licenses
Licensure as a Physicians Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. State of Georgia licensure as a PA is required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Fundamental Critical Care Support courses preferred.
