Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Preadmission Testing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. • Perform Pre-Anesthesia Screening assessments to determine if a patient is optimized for planned anesthetic.
• Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.
• Assign ASA Physical Status Score.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patients medical record to include airway assessments, Mallampati score, heart and lung sounds.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work‑ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
• Collaborate with Anesthesiologists to develop a strong working knowledge of pre‑anesthesia testing protocols and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification OR licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as a NP by the State of Georgia with national certification.
