The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements. The role functions within the framework of the LPN license and organizational policies, and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The LPN guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals to deliver quality nursing care, and blends compassion, caring, and technologically appropriate competency to achieve holistic patient care.
QualificationsEducation
- Graduate of an LPN program (Required)
- New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
- Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- LPN
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- State Licensure Required - BCLS
- Basic Life Support Required - Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for (Preferred)
- LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 days
