The Opportunity
Greater Illinois Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/APRN) to join their Illinois treatment team, supporting clients at their Schaumburg location. This is a contract (1099) opportunity for a clinician with strong communication skills who is comfortable working within a structured, onsite treatment setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management to clients
- Collaborate with the clinical and interdisciplinary team to support integrated treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the treatment team throughout the course of care
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Illinois RN and APRN license (required). Illinois is not part of the Nurse Licensure Compact, so an Illinois-issued APRN credential is required regardless of licensure held in other states
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through ANCC
- Master's degree from an accredited PMHNP program
- 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
