Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking talented and motivated professionals to join a large technology client as Critical Environment Technicians and Lead Critical Environment Technicians. This person will perform basic monitoring of the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety) within the data center. They will safely assist in providing emergency monitoring and response to various abnormal conditions with supervision, utilizing emergency operating procedures (EOPs).
Their day-to-day will consist of working on tasks (e.g., making rounds, initial assessments on equipment performance) as assigned with limited supervision.
- Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and comply with all physical security procedures and policies
- Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration.
- Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller one
- Labeling/Energizing Network and GPU racks
- Filling RDHX (Rear Door Heat Exchangers) with glycol solution
- Filling GPU racks with glycol solution
