Work is physical and outdoors - expect full shifts, occasional overtime, and steady project-based assignments. Reliable attendance and a focus on safety are mandatory.
What You'll DoOperate excavators, backhoes, dozers, skid steers, motor graders and vibratory compactors for earthmoving, grading and paving tasks
Perform daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance (fluids, greasing, basic repairs) to keep equipment safe and running
Read grade stakes, follow site plans, and operate to grade using hand signals, stringline or basic electronic grade systems
Load/unload and transport equipment as needed; secure machines at the end of shift and maintain a clean work area Follow all safety procedures, report defects or hazards, and work in a drug-free environment
Work with crew members and supervisors to meet production goals and adjust to changing site conditions
What We're Looking For Minimum 2+ years operating multiple types of heavy equipment (excavator, dozer, grader, skid steer, backhoe) on civil or construction sites
Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs (hydraulics, filters, grease points)
Read grade stakes and basic site plans; use hand signals and radios effectively
Strong focus on safety - follow OSHA/site rules and complete mandatory drug testing
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from job sites
Physically able to lift, climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Qualifications
Valid driver's license; clean driving record preferredOSHA 10-hour (preferred) or willing to obtain on hire Heavy equipment operator certification (NCCER or similar) preferred but not required
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
English required;
Spanish bilingual a plus
