At Myles Truck Repair, with our trusted partner True North Fleet Services, we are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and on the road.

This position supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and quality repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technician who values quality, consistency, teamwork, and continued professional growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
  • Complete DOT inspections and help ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
  • Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed.
  • Take ownership of assigned repairs and ensure work meets quality and safety expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Partner with drivers, service advisors, technicians, and shop leadership to keep work moving efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of diesel or heavyduty maintenance experience in a fleet, dealership, or independent shop environment preferred.
  • ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and DOT inspection requirements.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
