SupplyTechnician Role
The Supply Technician is responsible for conducting logistical operations in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. The Supply Technician will serve as the subject matter expert for logistical and supply management functions within the warehouse. They will provide sound and precise data to leadership whenever solutions are required and must have knowledge of operational policies and supply procedures to better support the customers.

Major Job Activities- Works with a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process.
- Oversees the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing and shipping materials.
- Receive Issue shipping instructions from units and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Inspect physical conditions of warehouses and equipment and ensure proper accountability and PMCS is conducted in accordance with required policies and procedures.
- Assist with the Planning, develop and implement office, line, warehouse, safety and security programs and activities.
- Manages and conducts maintenance of historical files, Administrative Adjustment Reports (AAR), receipts, issue, and transfer documents.
- Requisition s material to meet mission requirements.
- Oversees and conducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulations.
- Maintains property and equipment IAW Army regulations, PWS, SOP, and Work Instructions.
- Ensures all Annual/Cyclic inventories are conducted IAW current regulatory procedure.
- Analyzes, produces, and generates statistical data and reports to ascertain trends, conformance to standards and directives and efficiency of operations.
- Maintains all historical files, supporting documents and other required records; ensuring all files are stored IAW the Army Records Information System (ARIMS) Administrative Adjustment Reports, hand receipt, requisitions, turn-in, issue, and transfer documents. Coordinates and manages the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, equipment and other warehouses.
- Ensures that all safety precautions are adhered to at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
- Ensures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelines.
- Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
- Activities will revolve around extended periods of sitting and communicating via email and telephone.
- Visual acuity necessary for computer work and data manipulation.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs unassisted.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- GCSS-Army certified (Property Book or Unit Supply level), must be able to obtain within three months of employment
- Must have a valid REAL Driver’s License with no restrictions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.
- Three to five years of supply operations/ logistical management experience
- Must have experience and comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in Supply Management.
- Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access preferred.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and logistical management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure an effective approach to resolving issues of logistical concern.
- Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
