Major Job Functions- Maintains a positive parent-teacher relationship
- Interacts appropriately with children
- Maintains Learning Centers
- Maintains a warm, inviting child friendly classroom environment
- Plans and implements Educational programs and daily activities
- Establishes a weekly schedule and lesson plan
- Promotes each child's social, emotional, intellectual and physical development
- Provides a clean, safe and healthy work environment
- Maintains accurate records
- Documents children's progress and completes all State required documents
- Provides instruction for Teachers
- Manages children's behavior
- Comply with the provisions of the Child Maltreatment Reporting Act by bringing any suspected cases of child maltreatment to Director or Co-Director for possible reporting to the designated reporting agency
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
- CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Infant Toddler Safe Sleep (ITS-SIDS) certification required
- 1 year of responsible classroom experience in a professional large Child Care Center required
- Knowledge of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social characteristics of children ages birth-five years old and up to 12 years old for Weekend Care
- Knowledge of State Child Care regulations
- Work involves a variety of activities to include walking, standing and lifting of children and various objects
- Ability to stand for 30 minutes
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and age appropriately
