Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Job Description:

JR Enterprise is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive primary care services at the Cumberland County VA Clinic. This is a long-term contract position, offering a stable work schedule and an opportunity to serve our nations veterans in a professional and rewarding healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient primary care services to veteran patients, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care treatment.

Conduct comprehensive history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.

Manage a wide range of medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, COPD, heart disease, and other common illnesses.

Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures as necessary.

Prescribe medications and treatment plans following VA guidelines and evidence-based practices.

Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with VA policies and medical best practices.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care as needed.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine.

Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state.

Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.

BLS/ACLS certification (as required by the VA).Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or family medicine (VA or military healthcare experience preferred).Strong knowledge of preventive care, chronic disease management, and evidence-based medicine.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
