Position Title Corporate and Industry Training Technician Announcement Summary

Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Corporate and Industry Training Team and now accepting applications for a full-time Corporate and Industry Training Technician.

The Technician will plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of an assigned instructional program and to provide highly responsible academic and administrative support to the Department Chair of Corporate and Industry Training.

The Technician will also serve as the department's NCCER Training Program Director, Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Site Co-Director & Proctor and National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)
Training Program Director assisting students with their application and enrollment processes.

Duties

Essential Duties-Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Assist the Department Chair in the development, planning, and implementation of goals and objectives related to the department/program.

* Perform overall coordination duties for the department program, including coordination of department course compliance files.

* Assist the Department Chair in the marketing of the assigned department/program; provide input on marketing materials and literature for distribution to potential students; make presentations to schools, organizations, and other contacts.

* Participate in program advisory committees, if applicable, for the department/program.

* Coordinate with Department Chair, faculty, and staff members to discuss and possibly implement procedures and suggestions for continuous process improvement from administrative staff/faculty regarding compliance.

* Provide input to the Department Chair on program budget needs to include supplies, equipment, travel, and other costs.

* Assist the Department Chair with class scheduling, synchronization, and the development and creation of class builds in support of departmental programs.

* Submit to the Department Chair a list of courses to be offered each term for publication in the CCE Catalog.

* Assist Department Chair during the registration process.

* Ensure that facilities are open and ready for class.

* Investigate and take action consistent with policy and practice when problems occur with students in the specified program, take appropriate action, and submit the necessary reports/documentation.

* Understand and be able to clearly communicate academic information, including possible programs of study, resources available to students, academic policies, and administrative practices.

* Communicate with other offices, departments, and academic divisions as needed in regards to individual student concerns.

* Confer with and provide administrative staff assistance and advice to the executive management staff on administrative matters; develop, prepare, and present recommendations and reports as requested.

* Coordinate assigned activities with those of other units, departments, and outside agencies and organizations.

* Provide administrative assistance to staff; provide assistance in researching and compiling information and reports for the Department Chair, Dean, and the Associate Vice President for Corporate and Continuing Education.

* Assist Department Chair with Professional Service Agreement (PSA), Purchase Orders (PO), and eProcurement actions as needed.

* Develop, coordinate, and participate in a variety of special research and administrative

* projects; compile and analyze data, and prepare related recommendations and reports.

* Direct and monitor programs, projects, activities, and other events as directed.

* Maintain all modified course outlines, supplies, materials, and textbooks to support the department and remain in compliance.

* Ensure departmental programs comply with MSSC guidelines and NCCER accreditation standards.

* Assist with the identification and recruitment of potential faculty for the department; participate in interview selection committees; and provide initial orientation and training to new hires.

* Maintain program compliance activities within the NCCCS criterion on a daily basis.

* Verify accuracy and timely submission of census date rosters and final grade rosters and compliance files for the Department Chair.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair of Corporate and Industry Training.

Minimum Qualifications

* An Associate's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent.

* Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
