Position Title:

26/27 Multi-Classroom Leader (Classroom Teacher > Middle Grades, Instructional Support > Teacher Mentor)

• A four-year degree from an accredited institution with NC certification in the assigned area of teaching.
• Have at least three years of teaching experience and a valid teaching license.
• Show evidence of superior classroom teaching performance, as measured by teacher evaluation data.
• For North Carolina applicants, “superior teaching performance” is defined as 3 of 5 standards rated at accomplished or distinguished in the most recent NCEES evaluation, with Standard 4 rated at accomplished or better.
• Out-of-state candidates must submit their most recent classroom evaluation and a narrative describing their performance.
• Demonstrate a track record of high-progress student outcomes for the past 2-4 years: if EVAAS data is used, candidates must meet or exceed growth with an EVAAS score above 0; if EVAAS is not available, substitute data from a nationally normed or standardized assessment; if the candidate does not teach students directly (e.g., instructional coaches), they must demonstrate that the students and/or teachers they have supported “met or exceeded growth” by submitting relevant student data.
• Possess the competencies necessary to achieve results despite obstacles, lead and develop other adults, and work effectively with people of differing cultural backgrounds and/or personal characteristics (including race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or economic differences). Competencies will be assessed via supervisor/coworker recommendations and the Behavioral Event Interview.

• Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, and community leaders.
• Must have finger dexterity and perform basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.

• Certified teachers: upload legible copy of official transcript for all degree levels in PDF format, a copy of NC Teaching License or other current license, and a resume.
• Residency candidates: upload legible copy of official Bachelor's transcript in PDF format, any previously licensed information, and resume.
• International applicants not affiliated with any sponsoring program: upload legible copy of original foreign transcript, a copy of official Evaluated Transcript from a reputable company in PDF format, a copy of Social Security Card, and a front/back copy of either the Work Authorization Card or Permanent Resident Card, and resume.
