A 26/27 Teacher – Kindergarten (Job ) serving as a full‑time classroom teacher. The position is posted until filled.

A four‑year degree from an accredited institution with NC certification in the assigned area of teaching.

To demonstrate leadership, establish a respectful environment for a diverse population of students, know the content they teach, facilitate learning for their students, and reflect on their practice.

• Build leadership among staff and with administration to bring consensus and shared ownership of the school's vision and purpose.
• Make content engaging, relevant, and meaningful to students’ lives by aligning instruction with the common core, essential standards, and 21st‑century content, including global awareness, financial literacy, civic literacy, and health awareness.
• Teach core content revised to include critical thinking, problem‑solving, and ICT literacy.
• Facilitate instruction using a variety of appropriate methods, integrating technology.
• Assess student learning and support teamwork and leadership development.
• Collaborate with families and adults in students’ lives, adapt teaching for special‑needs students, and promote fairness.
• Demonstrate ethical principles: honesty, integrity, fair treatment, and respect for others (Code of Ethics for NC Educators, NCAC 6C.0601; Standards of Professional Conduct for NC Educators, NCAC 6C.0602).
• Serve as a team player and role model, demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement, and support the school's core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, customer‑driven focus, and fairness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, and community leaders.
• Have finger dexterity and perform basic physical functions such as kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.

• Current Certified Teachers: upload a legible copy of an official transcript (PDF only), an NC Teaching License or other valid license, and a resume.
• Residency candidates: upload a legible copy of official bachelor’s transcripts (PDF only), any previous license information, and a resume.
