- to teach economics to undergraduates in a manner that will introduce them vigorously to its broad scope;
- to offer scientific and professional training to graduate students to prepare them for teaching and research careers in the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and applied microeconomics (labor, health, education, and development) and industrial organization;
- to carry out cutting-edge research in these areas to be published in professional journals;
- to provide consulting and administrative support services to the department and the economics profession as well as to the university, local community, state, and nation.
This position is for a fixed-term faculty member at the rank of teaching assistant professor in any field in Economics. Teaching responsibilities are 6 courses per academic year. Duties will include undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and service. Teaching responsibilities will include enrollments ranging from 25-400 students.
Minimum Education And Experience RequirementsPhD in Economics, or related field.

Special Physical/Mental Requirements Campus Security Authority ResponsibilitiesThis position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
