Position Summary:WGI is seeking an East ASOT Instructor to be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering advanced Special Operations training in both classroom and field environments. The instructor will mentor students, evaluate performance, develop instructional materials, and support realistic field training exercises while ensuring compliance with all applicable Army and USSOCOM training standards.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :- Develop, update, and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, and doctrine supporting Advanced Special Operations training.
- Deliver expert-level classroom and practical instruction on advanced Special Operations tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Evaluate student performance and provide professional counseling, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute complex Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in urban and rural CONUS environments.
- Ensure all instruction complies with USAJFKSWCS, Army, and USSOCOM training doctrine and standards.
- Coordinate with military leadership and government representatives regarding training schedules, student progress, and mission readiness.
- Prepare and deliver briefings to military and civilian leadership on training objectives, outcomes, and operational readiness.
- Maintain accountability for government property, training equipment, weapons, and classified materials.
- Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, and accountability of classified information and sensitive equipment.
- Support Temporary Duty (TDY) travel requirements in accordance with approved course schedules.
- Perform duties during extended workdays, non-standard hours, weekends, and in austere environments as required to support mission requirements.
- Foster a safe, disciplined, and professional training environment.
- Graduate of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course (ASOTC).
- Graduate of one of the following:
- Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC)
- SEAL Qualification Course
- MARSOC Raider Training Course
- Minimum of four (4) years of Special Operations experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the TRADOC Systems Approach to Training (SAT) methodology.
- Thorough understanding of USSOCOM doctrine, advanced skills programs, and current training policies.
- Excellent instructional, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain exceptional physical fitness and operate in demanding field environments.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ten (10) or more years of Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience.
