The History Department in the Division of Humanities at Methodist University is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach an in-person course in an engaging and rigorous manner. The instructor must be able to teach World History I or United States History I in Spring 2026 on campus either MWF or Tuesday-Thursday. A successful candidate will be considered for future courses.
Responsibilities- Teach one section of World History I (to 1500) or United States History I (to 1865) during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Provide quality in-person instruction, including the delivery of constructive feedback and evaluation on student work in a timely manner.
- Communicate with students to support them and address their questions or concerns.

Qualifications- Minimum Requirements:
A Master's degree in History is required, with at least 18 credit hours at the graduate level, from an accredited institution. - Teaching Experience preferred, with a record of student engagement.
