Automation Engineer

Blackfield Associates is supporting a global pharmaceutical company in their search for a direct hire DeltaV automation engineer. The role required the following experience to be considered for the opportunity:

• Ensure compliant automation design by partnering with local and global project teams to align DeltaV solutions with site and corporate standards.
• Develop and manage equipment interfaces by coordinating technical requirements and integration needs with vendors.
• Maintain and improve DeltaV systems through structured lifecycle plans that enhance reliability and performance.
• Coordinate automation work with production to minimise downtime and support manufacturing schedules.
• Support budgeting for automation by helping plan expenses for sustaining and improving process control systems.
• Develop and uphold automation standards including specifications, SOPs, and maintenance strategies for Delta
  
  V.
• Serve as SME during audits ensuring DeltaV and related systems meet GMP, data integrity, and regulatory expectations.
• Coach and train colleagues on DeltaV functionality, automation best practices, and process control fundamentals.
• Apply systematic problem‑solving tools such as cLEAN to drive process improvement and effective project execution.
• Implement compliant change management for DeltaV modifications, documentation updates, and validation deliverables.
