Key Responsibilities Electrical Assembly & Integration- Design, commission, and operate the cable/harness build cell and electronics assembly (ESD) cell for UAV production.
- Build and qualify harness boards, electrical assemblies, LRUs, and PCBAs to aerospace workmanship standards.
- Lead electrical integration activities for UAV systems, payloads, antennas, datalinks, and ground support equipment.
- Develop and maintain electrical test fixtures, programming jigs, RF test systems, and continuity/isolation testing equipment.
- Translate and refine electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documentation into production‑ready work instructions.
- Lead first article inspections (FAI) and qualification activities under AS9102 standards.
- Establish IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliant manufacturing processes.
- Support production startup activities and scale‑up manufacturing operations.
- Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to implement in‑process inspection, NCR resolution, and corrective actions.
- Manage ESD compliance, calibration programs, crimp verification, and electrical workmanship standards.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR export‑control requirements and aerospace manufacturing regulations.
- Train and mentor harness assemblers, electronics technicians, and test personnel.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Composites, Quality, CNC, and Aircraft Checkout teams.
- Support cross‑functional troubleshooting and system‑level integration activities.
- Monitor and report KPIs related to first‑pass yield, FAI completion, defect rates, ESD audits, and quality metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within electrical assembly and integration operations.
- Support long‑term production scalability and process optimization efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated electrical manufacturing environments.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience leading harness and electronics assembly operations.
- Strong hands‑on experience with cable harness fabrication, crimping, soldering, PCB assembly, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, ANSI/ESD S20.20, AS9100, and AS9102 standards.
- Experience commissioning harness boards, programming fixtures, and electrical test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and system integration capabilities.
- Experience training and developing technical assembly personnel.
- Must be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance (Under ITAR/EAR regulations)
- UAV, aerospace, or unmanned systems experience.
- RF, datalink, antenna integration, or avionics experience.
- Experience with payload integration and ground control systems.
- Experience transferring manufacturing processes between facilities or international operations.
- IPC Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification.
- Experience with engine test stand instrumentation and avionics testing.
