An innovative technology company is seeking an experienced Licensing Engineer to support the development and execution of nuclear licensing strategies. This role will work closely with engineering, safety analysis, modeling, and technology teams to develop licensing applications, regulatory submittals, and supporting technical documentation.
Experience with 10 CFR Part 70 is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and defense of NRC licensing applications.
  • Develop licensing documents, regulatory submittals, technical reports, and responses to NRC Requests for Additional Information (RAIs).
  • Provide regulatory guidance to engineering and technical teams to ensure compliance with NRC requirements.
  • Support pre-application meetings, regulatory audits, and ongoing interactions with the NRC.
  • Collaborate with engineering, safety analysis, modeling, and technology teams to develop regulatory content.
  • Support the company's overall nuclear licensing and regulatory strategy.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in nuclear licensing and the nuclear industry
    .
  • Experience with direct NRC interactions
    .
  • Strong understanding of U.S. nuclear regulatory processes.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. person and able to obtain and maintain an NRC Q-level clearance
    .
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 10 CFR Part 70 licensing.
  • Existing NRC/DOE Q-level or equivalent DOD Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience preparing license applications, Safety Analysis Reports, or regulatory submittals.
  • Experience responding to NRC Requests for Additional Information (RAIs).
