We are looking for an applicant to fill our Medical Front Office Receptionist position. The ideal applicant will be primarily responsible for coordinating all functions necessary for an efficient and productive flow of patients between check-in, treatment, and check-out. This position will include managing the patient scheduling process; calling patients to remind them of their appointments, collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments;

maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records; maintaining the front desk area; and providing outstanding customer service to our patients.

Job Duties
  • Maintain patient medical records and other information, including entry of patient data into EMR.
  • Greet all patients in a cheerful way (in person and on the phone).
  • Display a positive attitude when interacting with fellow employees and others.
  • Manage and answer incoming calls; be able to complete basic administrative tasks.
  • Verify patient's insurance by collecting and scanning cards into patient’s charts.
  • Collect copays, and/or deductibles as patients arrive.
  • Schedule patients for follow up appointments and other appointments as deemed necessary.
  • Collaborate with a variety of personnel to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Upkeep the general appearance of the clinic and maintain welcoming demeanor for all visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must have 1+ years of previous knowledge in a medical front office.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Must be proficient in Word and Excel (i.e. basic computer skills).
  • Previous experience with medical software (such as Athena) preferred.
  • Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Be flexible with your hours.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management skills.
  • Be organized.
  • Medical billing experience (i.e. prior authorizations, insurance verification, etc.).
  • Must comply with all HIPAA regulations.
