Summary:

Under the direction of the CFO, the Manager of Reimbursement (manager) is responsible for managing all third-party activities related to Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare for all Cape Fear Valley Health System (CFVHS) facilities. A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in reimbursement and/or accounting in a hospital or healthcare setting is required. The position requires independent judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly along with effective communication with various levels of management.

The candidate must have extensive knowledge of hospital billing and accounting with the ability to analyze problems as well as devise and implement improved and effective methods and procedures. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of computer functions. The successful candidate must be able to visually read reports and computer display terminals and must demonstrate manual dexterity to input data via a keyboard.

The position requires mobility for the purpose of meeting with management at service areas throughout the facility. In addition, the nature of the work may require extended periods of sedentary work and extended working hours to meet stated objectives.
