Job Description
Parsons is seeking a talented Technical Instructor to join our growing team!
Location, Travel & BenefitsPrimary work location is the Fort Bragg / Fayetteville, NC area, on-site, with up to 40% travel CONUS and OCONUS. Travel may reach 40% but is not guaranteed.
All training cadre receive a best-in-class PTO and leave program that offsets the travel demand.
What You'll Be Doing- Instruct and facilitate CSR modules to course training objectives; support adjacent technical modules as needed.
- Conduct student evaluations, provide feedback, and deliver remedial instruction.
- Research, develop, evaluate, and update CSR lessons, courseware, and practical exercises in coordination with the Programs of Instruction (POI) Development Manager.
- Develop and grade practical exercises; create concepts of operation (CONOPs) and student instructional materials.
- Adapt instruction to varying skill levels and client operational requirements.
- Active TS/SCI (or active TS with SCI eligibility)
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in commercial signature reduction, digital identity management, or closely related cyber/OSINT operations in support of government, military, or commercial customers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop instructional materials and student assessments and to present technical content clearly to mixed audiences.
- Working knowledge of safe‑research techniques, network security fundamentals, VPN and managed‑attribution concepts, and the Linux command line.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Bachelor's degree in any field. Ten or more years of relevant military experience, or extensive demonstrable work in the areas above, may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Linux proficiency (distribution‑agnostic) — comfort across environments rather than mastery of a single distribution.
- AI for research and development — prompt engineering, AI‑assisted OSINT/PAI workflows, managed‑attribution AI tooling, and/or AI‑assisted software development.
- Python scripting — OSINT/PAI automation and investigational workflows.
- Prior experience developing or instructing technical courses.
- Completion of a recognized signature‑reduction / managed‑attribution course (e.g., JOSTC‑B, Advanced Technicians Course, JOSTC‑A, Advanced Planners Course, or Due Diligence Course).
- OSINT/PAI course credentials (e.g., CASO, COSMO, OS301/OS302, or DoD/IC equivalents).
- Relevant cyber certifications (Security+, CEH, GCIH, GCFA, OSCP, or equivalent).
- Army 17‑, 18‑, 25‑, 35‑, 37‑, or 38‑series background (Cyber, Special Forces, Signal, Military Intelligence, PSYOP, Civil Affairs), or comparable SOCOM, cyber, signals, or IC experience.
- Signature reduction & attribution: CSR techniques, digital data protection, persona operations, managed attribution, digital force protection.
- Linux & scripting: distribution‑agnostic Linux, command line, shell scripting;
Python for automation and investigational workflows. - AI‑enabled tradecraft: AI‑assisted OSINT/PAI research, prompt engineering, managed‑attribution AI, AI‑assisted development.
- Networking: TCP/IP, VPNs, Tor, cellular networks, device hardening.
- OSINT/PAI: PAI/OSINT research methodology and tradecraft; CASO and/or COSMO methodology.
- Containers & dev environments: Docker, Snaps, Flatpaks;
Jupyter Hub and Git Lab.
An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
