Job Description SummaryAs a Consultant, you’ll collaborate and coordinate efforts across multiple agile teams and across several lines of business responsible for creating digital products and solutions that are practical and usable. We’ll count on you to ensure priorities and project goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed customer and company product impact analysis across a variety of digital products and competitor sets, and provide recommendations based on analysis and insights.
- Plan and coordinate usability research, analyze results with the Digital Product Manager/Owner, and partner with User Experience to create prototypes and conduct user testing.
- Conduct competitive analysis on customer digital product landscapes and business segment specific competitors across multiple lines of business, presenting findings and recommendations to Product Managers.
- Perform current state business landscape analysis, including people, process, technology assessments, and future state analysis, and provide recommendations to the Product Manager or agile team.
- Keep up on the latest digital trends as well as customer needs and behaviors.
- Act as a source of expertise for direction, mentoring and guidance for less experienced Product Analysts.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting RelationshipsReports to Director, Digital Product Management. This is an individual‑contributor role.
Typical Skills and ExperiencesEducation: Undergraduate studies in business administration, digital marketing, human‑computer interaction, user experience, computer science, or related subject area.
License/Certification/Designation: Property/casualty insurance and/or life/health/accident/variable annuity licensing and/or FINRA 6 and 26 securities registration, CLU, CPCU, CPU, FLMI certifications are a plus.
Experience: Typically, eight or more years of demonstrated experience delivering customer‑facing digital solutions, internet sales, website or web application development and/or research. Experience with agile delivery methodologies and product management/owner principles is required. Project management in an internet sales environment is required.
Knowledge, Abilities and
Skills:
Knowledge of insurance and investment securities products and services preferred. Understanding of agile planning practices and user experience knowledge a plus. Proven knowledge of internet technologies and website management. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information, summarize findings, develop recommendations that influence strategic vision and multi‑year roadmap, and present to all levels of leadership.
Ability to work independently and manage large, complex tasks that cross several subject areas.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
